DAY 9 MONEY MATTERS - 30 DAYS PRAYING FOR YOUR HUSBAND CHALLENGE

THE ISSUE WITH MONEY

Money issues - Tired of those bad investments your husband makes, the waste of money on items and gadgets he never uses or fixes? There maybe issues of who gets to spend what, Who buys what, who does what, there's not enough money for the bills, you spend more than you make, he gambles it all, spends it on others or other financial cries in your household?

Today's prayer is an overflow from yesterday. It gets right to the money matter challenges. Whether your husband works hard, makes a lot of money, a little money or no money- the problem is not how much but how it is spent. The problem isn't even with having the money but the control of the money, the management of the money and your ability to budget.

Do you have a family budget? Not just knowing and having it in your mind, how much he makes or the bills that need to be paid, but a physical document that is followed, monitored and effective? As a wife are you ensuring that the financial management of your household are in order? Are you comfortable in approaching your husband and discussing money matters?
Let's approach it in prayer.....

TODAY'S PRAYER - (Revive Your Heart by Nancy Leigh DeMoss)
Pray that your husband handle finances wisely, will have discernment concerning budgeting and investments, and will be a good steward of his money in regard to giving to the Lord’s work. Pray that money will not become a source of discord in your family. (Prov. 23:4-5; Rom. 12:13; Heb. 13:5)

Proverbs 23:4-5 (KJV)
Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom.
Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.

You would need to pray this scripture if the following is evident
  • He is careless and does not use wisdom in his spending
  • He is a gambler
  • He makes bad investments
  • He does not seek God or involve you before major purchases or spending
  • Gets involve with money schemes, pyramids and other quick money fixes
  • Other.....
This scripture is also important to resolving money issues if he is not a liberal giver or hospitable.
Romans 12:13 (KJV)
Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
  • Is your husband a giver or is he stingy?
  • Does he hold back from blessing others?
  • Does he pay his tithes and give to ministry?
It's time to set your financial house in order. I know it can be very challenging if you have a husband that is self-employed, has part time or commission income or one who is not open/honest about his earnings, makes very little or unemployed. Hopefully yesterday's prayers are already taking effect. Take charge of your finances and help your husband by implementing a family budget.

TODAY'S FOCUS: CONTENTMENT OR COVET

Hebrews 13:5 (KJV)
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

How about you wives?
Are you the cause of the money issues in the household?
Trying to keep up with the Jones'?
Your husband can't seem to please you?
You overspend by extending yourself and abusing the use of credit cards?
Are you mismanaging the finances or using funds designated for other purposes and pleasures?

Are you ready to reveal the truth about money.....
This will require you to write everything, yes ladies all those secret things that you buy and keep in the trunk of the car and hide in the closet.
Since this is my area of expertise I will offer you some resources to begin and you can feel free to inbox me with your questions. I will be having an on line class starting up soon. Stay posted for details and my upcoming Financial Management workbook. In the meantime please use the forms below from Crown Management.

ACTIVITY:
Take an active role in the construction and or reconstruction of your fiances.
We will begin by seeing where you are financially by completing a financial statement.

Record all your income and expenses on the monthly expense sheet so you can have a view of all your finances.

Use the daily diary to record all income (no matter the source) and all expenses. List them in the different categories so you will be able to see where your money is spent for the next month's budget.

Completing a financial statement will help you to see your net worth and help you build on your assets and or work towards a debt free life.  If you encounter any problems or need suggestions on how to complete the forms or would like a PDF copy please send an email to twigsministry@gmail.com

Remember, to pray about all money issues especially if your husband is uncooperative, not a faithful steward or is engage in any bad habits when it comes to money.  Learn to be satisfied with what you have and where you are until you get your breakthrough.  God is faithful, and he has promised never to leave you or forsake you.

Make it a Financial Management day!
All for a better relationship and an exciting life!
Let me know how you are doing, suggestions you may have, experience and or challenges or simply how you are enjoying the challenge.
.

God Bless and Keep the Faith!
