DAY 27 A HEALTHIER YOU - 30 DAY PRAYING FOR YOUR HUSBAND CHALLENGE

TRANSFORMING THE MIND

A "Seefood" Diet is a diet that you eat all you see!
Challenged by food and even though one is full, their mind says they are hungry.  So therefore, a transformation must take place to accomplish change and be able to present your bodies Holy and Acceptable

Romans 12:1-2 (KJV)
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Ask God to refresh your mind and think of things that are pure and holy. Meditate on the things and pleasures of God.  Don't engage in bad eating habits, but eat foods from the group and categories that are healthy and nutritious.  Make your health a priority to exercise, follow medical advice and or other procedures.  Bad eating habits can cause terminal diseases, but it can also limit the quality of life.

TODAY'S PRAYER - (Revive Your Heart by Nancy Leigh DeMoss)
Pray that your husband will understand the importance of taking care of his body—the temple of the Holy Spirit—for the glory of God. Pray that he will practice self-control by making wise food choices, and get sufficient exercise to stay healthy. (Rom. 12:1-2; 1 Cor. 6:19-20, 9:27)

Your body must also be brought in line.  Exercise regularly to insure your blood circulation, Blood pressure, metabolism are in within the normal guidelines.  Practice good hygiene and good moral principles. You cannot preach or teach on wellness if you are overweight and unhealthy yourself.  Here's what the word says....
1 Corinthians 9:27 (KJV)
But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

TODAY'S FOCUS:  YOUR BODY IS THE TEMPLE

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (KJV)
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

Your body is the temple of God and the dwelling place of The Holy Spirit. You should not only be concerned about your spiritual health, but also make wise and healthy food choices for the proper nourishment of your body to avoid sickness and diseases. Temples that are sick and unhealthy are challenged in the spirit as well.  They won't be able to worship, pray or do much for the Lord physically.

ACTIVITY
A sick man cannot worship God in spirit and in his body. He will be limited to do things both spiritually and physically.  Some situations may be genetic or already existing condition even before you met him, but today make his health a priority.
Take time out to cook healthier meals
Watch intake of sodium, sugar, starch/carbohydrates and unhealthy fats etc...
Don't eat and drink with your meals
Don't eat late at night or go to bed right after eating
Make time for exercise and relaxation
Get a gym membership (if you can afford or a start of boost program)
Encourage annual physical or a doctor visit for analysis
Fast often or skip a meal
Do body cleanses as needed
Take prescribed medication as instructed

Do you need to lose weight or make healthier choices yourself?
Then start with you. Start a health challenge for the family.  Make it a point of exercising regularly. Go on a fast and plan a fasting schedule once a week or month.  Set days for low calorie meals or skip a meal
Make it a point to take your/his meds until you get your healing and or health restored.

Remember, God wants you and your husband to glorify Him not just in spirit but in body. Your prayer would help him to present his body as a reasonable and acceptable sacrifice.   The body belongs to God, and it must be conditioned and maintained.  It begins with a transformation of the mind- not just eating the right foods, but eat correctly. Unhealthy habits can affect not just one person, but can place undue stress on the other due to health issues.  You were bought with a price.
