DAY 16 HABITS - 30 DAY PRAYING FOR YOUR HUSBAND CHALLENGE

ADDICTIONS HABITS AND HOBBIES

Some of these are red-flags that signals danger!  Prolonged usage over time can cause severe damage to your relationship!  Let's take a look..
What is he addicted to? Gambling, Alcohol, drugs, women beside you
What things that has the power over him? sexual addictions, porn, illicitness
Are there any suspicions or questionable hobbies? Strip Clubs, collection..

What about other obsessions such as:
food, sodas, sweets, TV, excessive/unnecessary spending on clothes, gadgets...., racing, hoarder, lying, messiness, leaving the toilet seat down or leaving it not flushed or tinkle tinkle on the seat or floor, using allotted funds on things like lottery, betting, games, hanging out late, influenced by friends, Mother/family, dirty movies, borrowing and not paying back, visit sexual online sites, stealing (taking without asking), wasteful, begging, excessive activities with the boys/work, suspicious habits relating to cultural protection etc...

WOW!!! Let's Pray - TODAY'S PRAYER
Pray that your husband will choose healthy, God-honoring activities. Pray that he will not live in bondage to any questionable habits or hobbies, but that he will experience freedom in holiness as he yields to the Spirit’s control. (1 Cor. 6:12, 10:31; 2 Tim. 2:4)

As a good soldier of Christ, you don't want your husband to be tied up in worldly and ungodly affairs satisfying the lust of his flesh and not honoring Christ.  Therefore, you must pray that he does all things to the glory of God. If Christ cannot be a guest or player in the activity, it should not be done!

TODAY'S FOCUS:  PROBLEM SOLVING

It has been establish by scripture while some things may not be bad, they may not be good for you.  They may have a hold or a grip over you.   Here's out The Apostle states it in 1 Corinthians 6:12 (TLB)
I can do anything I want to if Christ has not said no,[a] but some of these things aren’t good for me. Even if I am allowed to do them, I’ll refuse to if I think they might get such a grip on me that I can’t easily stop when I want to.

IT'S TIME TO TAKE ACTION -
What is your husband challenged by? The Nintendo games, gym and body building health and fitness ego or other obsessions, bad eating habits, going to bed late, long working hours nor rest etc...
Is it affecting him, his health, his spiritual life and your relationship? No time for church cause he's got to watch the game, working late or has a line up of activities
Who are his influences or mentor? His choice of friends and mentors who are not spiritual or add value to his life...
I know I may not have captured it all, and maybe your problem is missing....
What ever it is that is affecting and has a negative impact or takes away from him experiencing freedom and holiness must be dealt with in today's prayer!

TODAY'S ACTIVITY:
Stop talking and begin praying.  Arguing, fussing and complaining to your friends and family has not helped or changed the situation. He may or may not admit he has a problem, but you know it is affecting your relationship.  Do Something About It!
On our Ezra Fast we are using the problem resolution guide from the book, Fasting For Spiritual Breakthrough by Elmer Towns, and we are having great success in getting to the root of our problems, praying about them and getting solutions/resolutions. I would like to use that for today's activity. Here's your guide: ( (If you have more than one just repeat the process)

PROBLEM SOLVING -
Get out your journals go to a comfortable place where you can be alone to think clearly.  List your problem— As you pray and fast use the problem solving step-by-step strategy on the front of this fasting guide to help you successfully gain the victory.
Problem: (List the Problem)
Get the Facts: (Records, proof, names of people)
Establish Biblical Principles: (scriptures for the solution)
Evaluate The Facts: (objectively Define/Refine/Redefine)
Determine the various solutions:
Choose a solution:

Remember, while Christ has not said no or anything about some activities, it does not mean that there are good or healthy for your husband.  It's important to approach some of these things early as a mole hill can become a mountain and eventually be a stumbling block in his spiritual life. Why take a chance and put yourself at risk.  Pray so that he will refuse to take a chance as it may result in permanent damage even to your relationship. All things must be done to the glory of God!
