CONSISTENCY - CREATIVITY - CONVERSATION
These little keys are three simple truths that can make all the difference to enjoy the better part and powerful to open stubborn and willful doors. They will help you keep your center.CONSISTENCE PRACTICE
Most great performers became great men after much intense and consistent practice. The term, "practice makes perfect" holds much truth. One definition for the word practice means:Repeated exercise in or performance of an activity or skill so as to acquire or maintain proficiency in it. Whether it is to acquire or maintain expertise in an area of skill one must practice. Ask a basketball player or an athlete. No matter how great you are to remain active you must practice to keep yourself fit or sharpen your skills
Consistency does not necessary mean perfection but going at it and refusing to give up. When you do this it will become a part of your lifestyle and will build and or strengthen relationship.
CREATIVE STRATEGIES
Put creativity into your daily time with God so it does not become a routine, boring or a ritual.Use variety of methods, means... i.e... versions of the bible, format of study, resources, systems.
A LITTLE CONVERSATION
Conversation is between more than one. It involves dialogue and communication that is two way. Speaking and then listening. It is recommended to read and open up your heart to hear. It is so important to the conversation TO LISTEN so you don't miss opportunities or the real message. These Three Cs' will enable you to be filled with the full measure of God and allow you to establish your center in Christ.
TODAY'S FOCUS:
- A reflection of Daniel, David and Jesus, How consistent are you in taking time out for the better part?
- What are your suggestions (besides what's in our bible studies) would you recommend as creative ideas for spending time with God?
- What format do you use in your conversation?
Get back on track with your quiet times. It may require a little creativity in your spiritual diet, but conversing with God in prayer, journaling or opening up your spirit to Him you will be able to enjoy the better part.
God Bless - Keep the Faith
