DOING WHAT JESUS SAYS

ARE YOU AN ANTICHRIST?

Our section start off today by saying, "God's transforming power in our lives is unleashed when we not only listen but also act on what we've heard."

The sad fact is, we can grow so accustomed to god's voice that it no longer moves us. Look at the people spoken of in the following verses.

Ezekiel 33:31-32 states....
And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness. And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument; for they hear thy words, but they do them not.  

TODAY'S FOCUS:  OBEDIENCE

"All God's revelations are sealed until they are opened to us by obedience...
Obey God in the thing He shows you, and instantly the next thing is opened up..
God will never reveal more truth about Himself until you have obeyed what you know already.

EYE OPENING - MIND ENGANGED - HEART SEARCHING QUESTION

Think on the definition of the word antichrist, (Against Christ) answer the following:
Are you acting as Antichrist if you are:

• Disobedient to God's commandments?

• Hear the gospel or a word from God and do not do or carry out it's message?

• Do not exercise qualities of Christ i.e..... love, forgiveness, compassion etc...?

• Knowingly living and walking in sin and unrighteousness?

• Refusing Christ?

What do you think of  Kathleen Norris statement,..
" Each of us acts as an Antichrist, whenever we hear the gospel and do not do it"

Jesus says, if we love Him we will do what He commands.

James says in James 1:22
Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
