CHAPTER 10 - MARY'S EXTRAVAGANT LOVE

A LITTLE PERSPECTIVE

Jesus travels takes Him back to Mary and Martha's house.
This time it would be His final visit to His friends.

Jesus had told the disciples what awaited Him as He made His journey to Jerusalem.  They knew He would be crucified because He shared that with them.

JESUS WAS A WANTED MAN!
He had performed so many miracles and raising Lazarus from the dead made quite a stir among the religious and Jewish folks.  Everyone was beginning to be concerned and perhaps beginning to believe that He was indeed the messiah.

He was feeding the people, performing miracles of healing, giving sight to the blind, lame walking... and THE DEAD RAISED.  This was way too much for them to handle.  They were concerned if He raised the dead the living would present more threat.

There were much concerns among the chief priests and some of the pharisees what will become of their position, power and influence.  Jesus was getting too much attention. Perhaps all the attention and that disturbed them.

Caiaphas made a prophetic statement in John 11:49-50 that he did not understand.. that it is better than one man die than all the people perish.

Indeed Jesus would die for the entire world...

TODAY'S FOCUS:  Are you wanted for being a follower of Jesus?

  • If you were to be arrested for being a child of God would there be enough evidence to convict you that you have been with Jesus?

  • What have been your experience with others? (Government official, church, family etc..) as you perform and do the work of the Lord?

  • Is anyone threatened by your life or feel because of you they have lost friends, position, power or influence?

Woe!  Watch out Now.... Please share, you can remain anonymous or just be bold like Jesus!

Remember as a servant and follower of Jesus you must bear in mind that people will become uneasy with your authority and anointing.

I believe there would be enough evidence to convict me if I was arrested for being a Christian. Not just on my outward appearance but the way I carry myself, my conversation, my demeanor and approach to people but more so the reflection of the God in me.

I have been severely attacked by church family for my beliefs and anointing. My story is an Esther and a Joseph experience. But I recognize they were needed for my process and promotion from slave to queen and from prisoner to governor! God be praised.

I have no enemies, but it appears that some have made themselves my enemy or distance themselves because of certain favors that God has blessed me with. Sometimes people do not want to do menial things and when I accept them and do them it gives me recognition and then those who did not want to be engaged feel threatened, unnoticed and lose the attention. Then I notice the coldness and thickness of the atmosphere when I come around or when I am greeted by them.
I have even been accused of stealing friends and in some cases treated like I did something so wrong. Well... it's not intentional. Whatever I do, I do from my heart and try to treat everyone with the same love. However, I'll continue to show love because of the God in me.
