THE BETTER PART

First Things First

If we take the time and put God first everything else will fall into place.
The saying.... If we take care of His business He will take care of ours is powerfully true.  Read Matthew 6:33 -  It's a proven guarantee.

We were created for the fullness of God.

It is sad that most people want enough of God to make them happy, but not enough of Him to make them change.

Today's focus: Are we too full for comfort?

As we go through our day we can be cumbered and filled with the busyness of life, our crowded schedules, lack of enthusiasm for worship and bible reading, procrastination or laziness.

Martha's excuse was duty what's your excuse?
Which of these keeps you from spending regular time with God?
(Please list the things you have to do under the category that affects your intimacy with God.)
  • Duties as a woman?

  • Children and family activity

  • Laziness
Please remember that anything that keeps you from spending regular time with God is sin!
He needs first place or else we will not be able to accomplish the tasks of a busy life.

It's a choice to make Him the "CENTER" and FIRST in our lives - It takes time and effort!

God Bless - Keep the faith

  1. I like that statement: "it's a choice to make Him the "CENTER" and FIRST in our lives-It takes time and effort!"

Honestly, for me, there are NO excuses. We fight for what we want in life, tangible, and otherwise. Therefore, it is my CHOICE to make Him the CENTER and FIRST in my Life. Amen!

  2. Amen!! He's got to be first! He takes no substitute.

Sometimes duties to be done get my focus and can get Him slip down a little. But I believe the faster we accept that He must be first the quicker we will get the things we need done. It's a total win when He is first. It's like any instruction to completing a task, setting up an appliance, computer etc... certain things must be in place first for the rest to work itself in.
