GYROSCOPE

One dictionary meaning states that a gyroscope is a device consisting of a wheel or disk mounted so that it can spin rapidly about an axis that is itself free to alter in direction.  The orientation of the axis is not affected by tilting of the mounting; so gyroscopes can be used to provide stability or maintain a reference direction in navigation systems, automatic pilots and stabilizers. 

As defined, gyroscopes are stabilizers.  They are used to stabilize planes in turbulent weather, steady ships that are sailing through raging seas and guide them automatically by their compasses.

TODAY'S FOCUS - WHO OR WHAT IS YOUR GYROSCOPE?

• Who is your center?

• What's Holding you up from the turbulence of life and from raging storms?

• Are you ready to spin, steady and make your hoops dance?

Let's do an exercise.

Get out of the kitchen and go into the living room so you can have intimacy
You can choose to light a fragrance candle or soft music or do one of your creativity
Close your eyes and allow God's presence to inhabit your mind and place
Ask Him to center Himself steady in the center
Think about all of your hula hoops (circumstances, chaotic and turbulence of life)
Begin one by one to surrender them to the Lord
Watch how he takes them and makes them dance
Watch how He turns the spinning into a steady, stable gyroscope and guides by the compass of His eternal love.

You may elect to write a short story of your hula loops, place Jesus in the center and state how you will allow Him to steady and spin them around. Be creative.

Today, I ask that you allow the Lord Jesus Christ to be the center of your life by choosing the Better Part. 

Remember you don't need to master the hula loops - You need the MASTER Himself.
