LESSONS FROM LAZARUS

A PUZZLING PLOT

After Jesus visited the sisters there was a new peace, a new joy and new love in Martha and Mary's home.

The plot seem to take a turn for the worse when Lazarus got sick.  It appears that Lazarus and Jesus were very close from the message that was sent to Jesus.
Lord, Behold, he whom thou lovest is sick. John 11:3.
When the news came to Jesus, He told them that the sickness was not unto death but for the glory of God.  That gave them much hope, but then Lazarus died.

GOD HAD OTHER PLANS....  A GREATER GLORY!

God's will does not always proceed in a straight line, and  we will not always see the connection from one point to another.  We will not always understand His plans.  But they will always work together for our good according to Romans 8:28

FOCUS:  What's Your Story?

Satan does his best to mess things up in the natural even after we have received word from God whether in dreams, a word or even a message from God Himself.  But God will allow our bad circumstances to be transformed to our best good.

Reflecting on the death of Lazarus, the life of Joseph after he was given the dream of the moon and stars bowing down to him and his journey when life took a different turn, and the story of Daniel when he was thrown in the lion's den we see that God had a plan for the circumstances they faced.

Lazarus - For the glory of God so men can believe that He was sent and see the power of God

Joseph - To save his family and known world from starvation

Daniel - To serve as a catalyst for the conversion of a nation.

God's plan is for His glory.  It may not always flow with our thinking or logic, but it always works out for our good, our promotion and positioning etc.. in His perfect will.

Do you have an experience that seemed like God was taking you a different route that made no sense to what you know to be His plan for your life?  Maybe you had a vision or given a word that something good was going to happen or come to pass and things took on a different turn?  Perhaps you got a disappointment that affected your life, grieved you and you didn't understand at first the purpose for the experience, but afterwards you realized that God had to discomfort you to take you to your next level and fulfill His plan for your life.

Your story matters to Jesus - Please share so others can be encouraged.
(State the experience, the turn in journey and the end result)

GOD BLESS - Keep the Faith!
