A FRIENDLY REMINDER
Trust that all our fathers had a Wonderful and Blessed Father's Day!
A new week has begun for you, you think on your heavy schedule, deadlines that has to be met, duties and obligations to fulfill, places to go, things to do etc...
Be reminded that in order to fully execute all things your strength must come from the Lord’s mighty power within you.
In this life no matter how carefully you plan, you will be faced with adversities. Therefore you must be strong, not just in your abilities, but in the Lord.
Ephesians 6:10 (KJV)
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
When your source of strength is directed aright, you will see....
Persecutors, like Hannah and you will pray through it
Tempters, like Jesus you will use the word
Haters, like Esther you will fast
Impossibilities, like Abraham you will believe God
Tempters, like Jesus you will use the word
Haters, like Esther you will fast
Impossibilities, like Abraham you will believe God
..... and many others could only overcome in the power of His might.
Recognizing your source of strength is also very vital for your survival and existence. While it may be performed by you the strength is beyond you. You are just the vessel and or vehicle being used.
Using this example, let's examine the source:
A chandelier's light illuminates and is seen from the bulbs. However, the real source of power to cause the glow comes from the main power source of electricity. If the chandelier is not connected to the power source it cannot give its light for it was designed to get its power from the electricity. Likewise the electricity needs the the chandelier to show its power. One works with the other to fulfill the purpose and not on its own.
TODAY'S FOCUS: THE TRUE ULTIMATE SOURCE
The story of Samson in the book of Judges is a very remarkable one. He was born for a purpose and was given specific instructions to follow. Somehow, he allowed himself to lose focus of his true power source which cost him his life.If Samson had understood that, regardless of the fact that he lost his hair, and that like the chandelier, it is the power of God that was working within him, there would be more stories of victories.
In chapter 16 he made a grave mistake when he exposed himself and forgot his identity and purpose. He saw a harlot and went in unto her. When it was told to the folks of the city they lay in wait for him. Samson got up before their planned time and took off the with the doors and post of the city gates.
Samson displayed his strength by putting them on his shoulders and walked right up the hill with the doors, posts and bars. This gave him another victory which should have allowed him to recognize that he was born for a purpose, but he took lightly the desire of his enemies to have him killed.
Samson then fell in love with a woman who was from the people of his enemies. They approached her and offered her a bribe to find out the secret of his strength. Thus they had an inside agent to fulfill their plans to destroy him. Delilah used her "honey if you love me" wits to get Samson to reveal his secret.
Samson made the choice to reveal the truth about his strength. He had two opportunities to back out, see that his life was threatened and the cunning ways of his wife, Delilah. He allowed Delilah's nagging to get the best of him. He handed his life to her and gave him over to the hand of his enemies. By doing this he became disobedient to the command given and the vow taken.
Samson told Delilah all his heart truths, and the Philistines was called again to test him. They tied him up, and he thought he would just be able to go out as the other times. This time, his strength was gone and he was unable to move. They took him and tortured him.
Samson's hair grew back, and the Lords of the Philistine brought him out so they can make a a sport of him. He ask a young lad to lead him between the pillars. It is sad that only at the final event of his life that Samson acknowledge the ultimate source of his strength was in God and not in his hair.
You can read the full account in Judges 16. Samson waited at the very end to cry out to God. He also ask that he die with the Philistines. How about you?
Have you recognize the true and ultimate source of your strength?
Are you allowing the devil and his cohorts to play sport with you?
Are you choosing to die with your enemies?
Call out now and ask for mercy don't cause your own demise. Follow the instructions of your designed purpose and live with intentions to be obedient to God and keep your secrets.
Remember, the ultimate source of your strength is not in the receptacle but in the Source that supplies the power. Don't sleep with the enemy or hand over the secret of your strength or you will be tested to validate your story. Understand that you were designed for a specific purpose, and you must walk in obedience and follow the instructions given. Always acknowledge that your power and strength is in and belong to the Lord.
God Bless you and Keep the Faith!
