KKW SERRIES 2 - I STAND CORRECTED

"CORECT"

Did you notice the word CORECT  should spell C O R R E C T?

Many people are easily offended when you try to correct them. Maybe because they are thin skinned or just feel they are always right.  For whatever reason some can't seem to be told they are wrong.

This week we will continue our Kitchen Knife Wife Series as we take a look at three (3) of the knives we will get an opportunity to discuss some hidden behaviors in the kitchen of our hearts.  But let's get some things out the way....

What are your thoughts on the following scripture:

Proverbs 3:12 KJV
For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

TODAY'S FOCUS:  CORRECTION

After you reflect on the above and share your thoughts let's discuss the following:

  • How good are you on accepting correction?
  • Share an experience you had in which God or someone corrected you?
    • How did you feel about being corrected
    • What did you feel towards that person?
    • Did you accept the correction? Why/Why not?
  • Share an experience where you corrected someone and they...
    1. Accepted it
    2. Did not accept it
    3. Why you think they did or did not?
  • Reflect again on the scripture and explain how and when should correction be applied?
Bear in mind that these questions will prepare you for some of this week's discussions.

Hebrews 12:6 King James Version (KJV)
For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourge every son whom he receiveth.

My hope is that you will be able to say, "I STAND CORRECTED."

GOD BLESS AND KEEP THE FAITH!

Virtuous Jewel
