HOW ARE YOU USING YOUR MOUTH?

Today, I celebrate another year of God's goodness and faithfulness!  It will take pages of this blog to pen down all his blessings and all that He has done for me.  

In our series we learned about the various knives that can be used to cut down and tear down.  

I want to bring a conscious awareness to you regarding how your knives are used.

You may not be The Meat Cleaver Knife Wife causing physical damage to your spouse or others, but you may just have used the knife if you are tearing down with your mouth.  

TODAY'S FOCUS:  LET'S USE OUR MOUTHS TO CELEBRATE

Our monthly fast is directed to our family.  Today is dedicated to our sons.  I know this series is for wives to husbands, but our sons are going to be husbands some day.  

How is your mouth used over your sons or the sons of others?

Are these statement familiar to you?

• You just like your Dad  (A Dad who is not a good example)
• You will end up dead if you keep this up
• You are no good
• I hate you
• You are messed up
• You are dumb and stupid
• I regret I made you
• I will disown you 
• I will kill you
• You make me sick
• .......................... (your own statement)

Although you may say them when angry, hurt or perhaps just casually, please know that your words have power and cause knife effects.   

HOW IS YOUR MOUTH HEALTH? Let's discuss...

• Have you used or make statements like the above, or perhaps other statements, about your son or others that may create a knife effect? (What were they? Confess them.)

• Confess the following scripture over them today

Proverbs 25:4 ((KJV)

Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer.

• Call up your son today, pray and speak life over him.  (If you don't have a son, take time to pray for sons today.)

• Review the knives and see which ones are used and apply the cure

• Celebrate your son today.  Celebrate the fact that God has blessed you with a son.  Celebrate his positive and bright future.  Celebrate his salvation, purpose and destiny in Christ Jesus! 

Remember, you shall have what you say.  Use your mouth to bless even when it seems impossible to do so.  Pray and turn everything about your son to God.... for with him, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!
