TANGLED AND TRAPPED
Let's Get to the Bottom of the Roots
Our devotional journal says today, "sometimes the only way to get to discern the truth is to get to the bottom of it all - the roots."
We struggle through our day and have difficulty sometimes staying focus and in many instances our growth is not reflected in our walk. We may need to LOOK DEEP into our roots.
What is our devotional life like?
What are we hiding beneath our beautiful parading outfits and smiles?
Or.......
TODAY'S FOCUS: Do You Need to Be Replanted?
CHECK YOUR ROOTS
- Are you tangled up in traditions, family and other personal daily routines that stunt your growth? Which ones
- Are you engaged in thoughts that are not in line with what God say's about you? What are they
- Do you allow people to dictate your growth or do you rely on the Holy Spirit? Who/What
Here's the biggie...........
- ARE YOU READY TO BE REPLANTED?
The Gardner Jesus wants to help you TODAY!
Allow His Holy Spirit to speak to your spirit as you read Colossians 2: 6-7.
Express yourself if you are feeling a little root bound or would like to offer some suggestions to others who are root bound.
GOD BLESS & KEEP THE FAITH!!
Virtuous Jewel
Besides the fact that I had a very deep traditional religious root which had some effective and positive effect on my growth, there were many of those same traditional religious roots that prevented the full flow of the sunlight of God's grace to grow into the tree that I should be.
ReplyDeleteAdditionally if I am totally honest, I can also say that my own thought patterns played a number of games on me that I often played mind games with myself; again because I thought I had to be a certain way for God to love me or be good to me.
Now that I know what I should meditate on and what God REALLY SAYS about me, I have replanted my tree and my roots are springing up from the true word of God.
I often meet with the Gardner in the garden where He walks and talks with me and He tells me I am His own, and the joys we share as we tarry there, Oh NO OTHER HAS EVER KNOWN. I have even grown a few inches since my replanting in a bigger pot. My new tag line flows with the word... I am beginning to see the goodness of the Lord in the Land of the living. I say, Holy Spirit faithful Guide, ever near the Christian side.... I have checked my roots and are making every attempt to replant in the right soil. THANK YOU JESUS! Hallelujah!

ReplyDeleteDay 4 is my favorite because sometimes we don't realize that underneath the glamour there are some stuff that's not glamorous and needs to be addressed. I am still learning how to balance my life - home, work, family, church which I feel gets tangled up and turn into a big mess. I am determined to get it right. I thank God for his everlasting love and his patience with me. It's time to uproot procrastination, laziness, tiredness, frustration, so healthy leaves of strength, stability, tenacity, order, and courage can flourish in my garden. Thanks you, Pastor Rhymer for allowing us to take this journey. It's life changing. :)
ReplyDeleteWOW First Lady, You have brought some things to the surface here to help me address some personal issues. I really like the word UPROOT! Not just trim or cut down but UPROOT! I'm a holding on to this one!
DeleteThanks for sharing with us.
This is a spirit led post , and I believe everyone if honest can relate . I too have had to take a spiritual inventory of my roots in the past and like Pastor Julie Rhymer said, traditions laid upon us by man in a religious institution , whether meaning well or not , crippled us. I thank God because he knows our heart and knows we want to grow. He steps in and points us in the right direction , and replants us in His truth and waters us with his love. Now we can flourish because we are kept by him. Let us continue to grow and trust him , for he is able , who has promised. LET NO MAN STEAL YOUR CROWN.
ReplyDeleteOh GLORRAAAY! I WILL FLOURISH AND NO MAN WILL STEAL MY CROWN. GREAT POST Sis P!
DeleteI thank God for revelation knowledge. We are rooted and grounded in love, yet, in order to grow, we need to be transplanted. Hallelujah!!! More room, removing the stubble, loosening the roots, more water, fertilizer, and more "good" soil, the "WORD". Uprooting can be difficult at times. Our comfort zones are disrupted, and human beings don't like to be remove from their place of comfort. The adjustment can be tough, yet we want to grow,
ReplyDeleteHoly Spirit transplant me as YOU give enlightenment and increase my vision to behold God's ways for my life!
MY GOD! These discussions are really adding fertilizer to my roots! Yes Sis MJ our comfort zones when targeted can really be like a dentist visit. OUCH!! God bless!
DeleteWell Hello GLL, I am so distracted by procrastination. It seems to be the one thing that has stunted my growth. I'm keeping it real. But praise God I pull up some weed, dig up the soil, and till the ground ( it hurt like ...) then I spread some fertilizer and i'm feeling lively again. I'm beginning to see the little sprouts coming up. I ca see the vision and i'm determine to see it manifest into the most beautiful garden of prosperity, in every area of my life.
ReplyDeleteTHAT'S IT! Hallelujah! Pull them up GLL - Pull them up!!!
