COMBO DEVOTION 17 & 18

SOAKING RAIN

Our WOG devotion says, "It's a gardener's dream - a slow, steady, soaking rain", this is the kind of rain that washes off the dust, and any other thing from off the leaf and petal making our plant colors more vibrant and beautiful.

Meditate on Titus 3:5-6 and imagine for a moment the cool water drops of mercy falling over you steadily soaking you!

It should make you smile, dance and rejoice - DO SO NOW!

Now Consider steady droplets seeping underground to your roots throughout the day.

TODAY'S FOCUS - Let's discuss ways that your Gardner can refresh you:

  • How would you express or describe a steady soaking rain from your Gardener?
  • List some ways that you can refresh the Holy Spirit and receive steady droplets throughout the day?

Remember to ask the Lord to help you to adapt new "watering methods" to keep His Spirit seeping into you throughout the day.  As droplets seep throughout the day, it will help keep your roots hydrated and you will bloom into a more luscious and healthier plant.

God Bless - KEEP THE FAITH!

  1. The Gardener dream is realized when the slow, steady, soaking rain fall deep into the root while washing away the dirtiness off the leaves, bringing out the beauty and majesty of each leave.

As a child, I remember when there was a speckle drop of water from the sky or the clouds darkening, the anticipation that grow in our hearts because we knew that it was going to rain. Down it came, showers, then slow, soaking rain. We would take off our shoes, sometimes our clothes and run out into the yard to enjoy that pleasant experience. Innocent children, yet understanding the joy that we felt in that moment, laughing, screaming, and playing in the water puddles. I can relate to the writer in this instance.

Daddy! Water my heart with your rain (The Holy Spirit). Let itl soak deep into the root of my heart, thus allowing the beauty and splendor of Jesus to shine through. Hallelujah!!!!

  2. As a fruit in God's garden, He knows how to water our soul. Each of us, like our earthly children have specific ways in which we grow, and our needs are different. Daddy has designed us in His unique manner, and has the right method in which to keep us watered to foster healthy growth. We specially and wonderfully made.

The "WORD" was provided to nourish our growth and development. I endeavor to do what it takes to keep a constant flow of the Holy Spirit in my heart.
