WORRY
Are you dwelling on your troubles, uneasy about things, or are you in an anxiety mode always? Then you are qualified and can be identified as a worrier.
Let's look at the definition -
- give way to anxiety or unease; allow one's mind to dwell on difficulty or troubles.
- a state of anxiety and uncertainty over actual or potential problems
These you probably are well aware of and can identify with when you experience the effects of worry.
Everywhere you look you see the results of worry - from the common cold, negative behaviors, trust and self esteem issues to the many ills and diseases that are plaguing many.
TODAY'S FOCUS: THE ANTIDOTE
Whether or not we want to belief it - WORRYING IS SIN!
Let's look at worry from another meaning and angle:
- (of a dog or other carnivorous animal) tear at, gnaw on, or drag around with the teeth."I found my dog contentedly worrying a bone"
As you reflect and ponder on this meaning ask God to reveal if you do not already know....
- What are you chewing on?
- Are you eating away what is said about you, told to you or is wrong about you?
- What are you dragging around?
- Hurts, past baggage, future concerns, dreams/desires or unfulfilled purpose?
WORRY DOES NOTHING ABOUT IT!
Matthew 6:27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
By definition the word antidote is described as:
noun
- 1.a medicine taken or given to counteract a particular poison.
verb
1.
counteract or cancel with an antidote.
To be free from worry you must take a medicine that can counteract the poison of worry.
WORRY MUST BE CANCELLED WITH AN ANTIDOTE -
THE ANTIDOTE FOR WORRY = PRAYER AND FAITH!
Today, take some time and find scriptures to ease your worry. Instead of giving your time to worry do some confessions of faith and think on these things. (Philippians 4: 8).
If they don't line up - DON'T THINK ABOUT THEM!
Remember, when you doubt God or His word it is a sin. Know also that....
Worry is a DIS-EASE that is a result from the sin of unbelief? GET THE ANTIDOTE TODAY!
