TODAY'S TOPIC - RECOGNIZE POTENTIAL
Encouragement does not mean you have to do the work or obligated to get involved but it can mean to become a person's cheerleader.
Before you do that ask yourself...
- Are you happy for the person's success or envious?
- Are you an encourager or a critic?
- Are you anticipating failure or success?
- Are your words icy or warm?
- Are you formulating your opinions or seeing possibilities?
Read the stories in Acts 9: 26-28, Acts 11:24, Acts 15: 36-39 follow with Colossians 4: 10-11, can you relate it to your own personal circumstances?
Many people point out the problems instead of possibilities
There are many simple ways you can give encouragement. Let's begin today!
- Make a list of those who could need some encouragement
- List some ways you can encourage or point out the possibilities to them
- Chose one or two people today and point out the possibilities to them
Remember, just listening can be a means of encouragement. Become someone's cheerleader, and cheer them on to their dream or cause. Encouragement is also right in line with prophesying - Romans 12: 6-8.
Hebrews 10:24 (KJV)
And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works
