SPIRITUALLY CLOGGED

DOUBT AND UNBELIEF

Doubt and unbelief are two top things that will clog your spiritual pipe and close the flow from heaven.

James 1:5-7 (KJV)
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

DOUBT AND UNBELIEF SHUTS DOWN HEAVEN!

TODAY'S TOPIC:  UNCLOG YOUR HEART

The above scripture tells us that if we have doubt and unbelief we will not receive nothing of the Lord. However, there are some other little nuisances that can cause spiritual clogging and hinder our blessings.  There are many things that can hinder the flow of God's Spirit flow in your life.  Take a look at the following scriptures and let's look at a few things that can affect the flow:
  1. Psalms 66: 18
  2. Proverbs 6: 16- 19
  3. James 1: 20
  4. Revelation 21: 8
If these are in your pipe (life)... YOU NEED SPIRITUAL DRANO.....

Here's what you will do today...
Take each scripture and list the things that will clog your spiritual pipe, then next to it write what spiritual Drano (use scriptures) can be used to remove the clog.

THERE'S NOTHING LIKE THE BLOOD OF JESUS! 1 John 1:7

Remember to flush out anything that will hinder the flow of God or shut heaven down.  If you have doubt and unbelief or regard any iniquity in your heart you will be clogged up and will need Spiritual Drano to release the flow!

POINT OUT THE POSSIBILITIES

ENCOURAGEMENT CAN LIFT THE MOOD AND REMOVE FRUSTRATION!
1 Thessalonians 5:11 (KJV)
Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

Thank you Joanna Weaver for making in a difference in my life - For your books that transforms and bring change to the lives of so many especially me!

TODAY'S TOPIC - RECOGNIZE POTENTIAL

Encouragement does not mean you have to do the work or obligated to get involved but it can mean to become a person's cheerleader.

Before you do that ask yourself...
  • Are you happy for the person's success or envious?
  • Are you an encourager or a critic?
  • Are you anticipating failure or success?
  • Are your words icy or warm?
  • Are you formulating your opinions or seeing possibilities?
Read the stories in Acts 9: 26-28, Acts 11:24, Acts 15: 36-39 follow with Colossians 4: 10-11, can you relate it to your own personal circumstances?

Many people point out the problems instead of possibilities

There are many simple ways you can give encouragement.  Let's begin today!
  • Make a list of those who could need some encouragement
  • List some ways you can encourage or point out the possibilities to them
  • Chose one or two people today and point out the possibilities to them

Remember, just listening can be a means of encouragement.  Become someone's cheerleader, and cheer them on to their dream or cause.  Encouragement is also right in line with prophesying - Romans 12: 6-8.

Hebrews 10:24 (KJV)
And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works

ORDER AND STRUCTURE IN MARRIAGE

GOD'S WAY

It must be a Male = Man and a Female = Woman
(Please read the beautiful illustrative story in Genesis 2 with a concentration on verses 22-24) - ANY OTHER STRUCTURE OUTSIDE A MAN AND A WOMAN IS OUT OF ORDER!

Matthew 19:5 (KJV)
And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?

Purity and Sanctity - Marriage must be pure of all ungodliness and unholiness.
Matthew 5:27-28 (KJV)
Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Ephesians 5:5  (KJV)

For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

God's Structure - Whether we like it or not God comes first the man is the head of the family and the woman falls next in line.  Any other arrangement is out of order.

Ephesians 5:21-25 (KJV)
Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

That's the structure and order of marriage - God's Way!
IT WON'T WORK ANY OTHER WAY!

TODAY'S FOCUS:  ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY

To be able to keep the structure as God ordained for marriage we must understand the role of each partner.

What are your thought on the roles of the following in the union of marriage in this outline:
  1. Christ - Head of the church and the Savior of the body
  2. Man - The head of the wife
  3. Woman - Submits to the husband
How is the church subject unto Christ?
How is the wife subjected to their husband?

Remember, God ordained and structure marriage for His purpose an His plan.  Diverting, amending, restructuring and interfering into it changes His divine order and brings damnation and disorder.  Follow the plan and.....
DO IT GOD'S WAY!

INHERITANCE BLOCKERS

STICKY FINGERS

By definition Sticky Fingers means a propensity, (a strong natural tendency), to steal.

When you take something that does not belong to you that is considered stealing. Holding back something that belongs to someone else is also stealing.

Your sticky fingers may just be the cause of your financial struggles.  Let's take a look at what a good steward (man or woman) does.....

Proverbs 13: 22(KJV) - A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.
Are you a just man or woman? How does the financial future of your children and grandchildren look like?
LET'S LOOK AT TWO INHERITANCE BLOCKERS: (Please share your thoughts)
DON'T ROB GOD
Malachi 3:8-10 (KJV)
Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
DON'T ACCEPT BRIBES
Deuteronomy 16: 19(KJV)  - Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.

TODAY'S FOCUS:  ORDER IN YOUR FINANCES

After you have seriously considered the inheritance blockers above and have aligned yourself to the disciplines, get your financial life in order!
While many things are based on the economy and other life factors, your personal finances are your responsibility.  It's not as a result of how much money you make, the job you have or the breaks you get, but... how accountable are you or are you a good steward?
Money management and budgeting is a fundamental key to the success of financial order.  Let's discus the following:
  1. Do you have a financial plan?
  2. Do you have and maintain a budget?
  3. What does your financial future look like?
  4. Do you have a savings and or resources for a rainy season?
  5. Are you a faithful tither and giver?
  6. Are you an impulsive/compulsive spender?
  7. Are you over-obligated or financially disabled?  (How/Why)
  8. Are you a good Steward/Accountable?
  9. Are you thrifty, a bargainer or an investor?
  10. What are some of the distractions to your finances?
Make it a priority to set your financial house in order - TODAY!

Remember to avoid financial tragedy and the flow of God's blessings, remove the inheritance blockers.  To be successful and have financial clarity and freedom avoid having sticky fingers.  Do not accept bribes for it blinds the eyes of the wise and corrupt decisions.  Be wise - BE A GOOD STEWARD!

THINGS THAT CLUTTER

ORDER IN YOUR HOME AND LIFE

Colossians 3:5-10 (KJV)
Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

TODAY'S TOPIC: BRING ORDER - REMOVE THE CLUTTER

Here's a list of things from the scripture above that are considered as things that can clutter your house and personal life:
(Look up the meaning of each word and see if it applies to your home or personal life; then make a list of something that is apparent in your home or life in each of them - write them down pray over it and ask God for the victory in that area - ie... uncleanness - Home: messy closet, bathroom not tidy; Personal - cheating, nasty habits, swearing etc...)

Fornication
Uncleanness
Inordinate Affection
Evil Concupiscence
Covetousness (Idolatry)
Anger

Wrath
Malice
Blasphemy
Filthy Communication
Lying

Remember, removing the clutter will bring order to your life and home.  Lay aside every weight listed or others that will clog the favor and blessings of God.

Hebrews 12: 1-2 (KJV)

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

FWD SERIES # 3 - VICTORY OVER YOUR ISSUES

Train Towards Holiness

Many times habits or situations that you once had given up show up just when you thought you had gotten the victory over it.

It may seem like you can't keep your promises and wonder if you were truly set free.

The devil may whisper words, like you are a hypocrite, a failure, you will never change and many other lies, but.....

Galatians 5:1 (KJV)
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Here's how you can exercise and train towards holiness: (You can add to the list)

  • Give the issue back to God immediately
  • Believe that He has it in His hands and has the control of it
  • Stand firm in your liberty and believe that you are free
  • Do not entangle or give in to the opportunity of familiarity
  • Do not be obsessed about it in your thoughts - Cast it down
  • Don't reclaim it
  • Other.....

TODAY'S TOPIC: EXERCISE CONSCIOUS RESTRAINT

If you are faced time and again with the situation that you once laid down, it is important that you consciously restrain your self to engage in the activity or habit.  It must be a willful and willing choice.  Looking at the three scenarios , what would you do if a temptation shows up again: (elaborate on how in each area)
  1. "Stick it in your pocket and pull it out once in a while to play with?"
  2. "Put it on a shelf and try to muster up the discipline never to touch it again?"
  3. "Give it back to God immediately?"
As you exercise conscious restraints lets discuss the following;
  • What are the chains that have you bond?
  • What addictive power has it's influence over you?
  • How do you fill your hunger for God?
  • What ingredients would be essential for maintenance of the Flesh Woman Diet?
  • What things would be off-limits to you to gain victory over your issues?
Look up scriptures that speaks to your issues, write them and speak them in prayer over your life daily.

Remember, don't give Flesh Woman a chance to pounce on the opportunity to reclaim old territories, (habits/addictions) but let your hunger be fill by God Himself.  Exercise and train towards holiness by being persistent in faith, prayer and reading of the word.  Train yourself to say yes to God and no to the flesh and you will be free!

GOD IS WITH YOU - YOU WILL NOT FALL! (Psalm 46:5)

FWD Series # 2 - THE LINKS TO TEMPTATION

A WAY OF ESCAPE

Are you experiencing temptations or addictions that you feel you can't overcome?

Fear not - There is a way of escape........ GOD IS FAITHFUL!

1 Corinthians 10: (KJV)                                                                                                             There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

The question is, Are you willing to accept the way?
For many people they struggle with accepting the way of escape more than the temptation itself.  For example.... An alcoholic may resist a friend trying to keep them away from the bar and taking them to church or to get help than the drink.  Though the way was opened to them to avoid the temptation they resisted.

In many cases we see that opportunities come to break habits or to avoid situations or even tragedies and because of refusing to listen to counsel and taking good advise many fall prey to their challenges.

WE MUST IDENTIFY AND BREAK THE LINKS!

TODAY'S FOCUS:  ONE LINK BREAKS ANOTHER

Many times the things that we are tempted by stem from another source.
Joanna Weaver stated that she fought with losing weight for quite a while, and although she prayed and tried many things she got no results.  Until....
God revealed an area in her life that needed adjustment.   She had to give up something that was consuming her life and was a link to her deliverance. (Having A Mary Spirit - Chapter 13 - The Flesh Woman Diet page 190)

What's Your Story?  Take a look at the list below can you identify a link in your life that may be contributing to it? (write what may be some contributing factors)
( Here's an example... Overweight - Too much TV/No prayer or bible reading)

  • Alcoholism
  • Drugs
  • Abusive Behavior (Domestic/Other)
  • Cheating/Stealing/Lying
  • Gossip?Arrogance and Negativity
  • Weight Issues and other Eating Disorders
  • Murmur/Complain
  • Lack of Discipline personal/spiritual life
  • Other

If you are struggling with temptation of any sort today, do a soul search and see if there are other links that feeds into the temptation and....

BREAK THE LINKS!

Here are some hints - indicate how you can achieve them

  1. Seek God's guidance
  2. Get Help
  3. Start a routine
  4. Avoid reocurrence

It maybe difficult and challenging, but when God reveals a thing - obedience is the only way to your deliverance.

Remember, to listen to the voice of God as He speaks and reveals the links to you.  Learn to say NO to the flesh man/woman.  Let God choose the battle and obey His command and know that "obedience is the key to life-transforming discipline."

God Bless you and Keep The Faith!

THE FRAGRANCE OF HUMILITY

PRIDE IS A CHEATER

It robs you of everything!
It will destroy you
It will cause you to fall

Proverbs 16:1(KJV)                                                                                                        Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

Our enemy knows that because he experience a great fall because of pride, but he refused to get broken.  He is a cheater, a liar and a robber and will not stop until you are robbed of your destiny.

TODAY'S FOCUS:  GET BROKEN - RELEASE YOUR FRAGRANCE

(Read John 12: 1-3) In that demonstration you will see that after Mary was broken with humility, the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.

As you reflect on the story let's discuss:
  • The fragrance and characteristics that would demonstrate:
    • Pride - Resisting the breaking/ cannot admit wrong
    • Humility - Broken and teachable
  • Which fragrance are you wearing?
  • What are the advantages/disadvantages of each fragrance?
Remember humility is an offering that will release the fragrance of love, joy and peace.  It is the sacrifice that is well accepted by Christ and it demonstrates a willingness to change.  Humility is an extravagant gift.  Give it generously.

GET BROKEN - Don't fight it - Don't resist it - Don't avoid it - JUST DO IT!

Psalm 51:17(KJV)                                                                                                         The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT

ADJUST - MENT

Matthew 21:44 (KJV)
And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

Adjust means - "to alter or move something slightly to achieve the desired fit; modify, regulate, fine tune, balance or assess."

Ment - "forming nouns to express the means or result of an action

When you connect the word together, Adjust-ment now becomes something that has been done.

Attitude defined means - a settled way of thinking or feeling about someone or something, reflected in a person's behavior; uncooperative or resentful behavior.

If the two words are joined together, Attitude Adjustment, it would mean altering, modifying or regulating your behavior.

TODAY'S FOCUS:  REGULATE YOUR BEHAVIOR

If you have had an accident or hurt your back, hand or experience muscle tension you probably know what it's like to need to have your body adjusted

Unchecked body adjustments can lead to deformities and if left unattended can become progressive and further lead to permanent damage.

Usually it requires you to visit a chiropractor to regulate or adjust you so your body can get back in alignment.  Therapy would be applied along with applying heat, pain salves, exercise and stretches, the famous neck and body cracking techniques and other applications to bring you back in harmony and balance.

After having an adjustment there are some things that you must avoid in order not to have a re-occurrence of the situation and may also require some routine exercises and changing some bad habits.

Your attitude requires the same if it's out of balance or alignment.

As you reflect on the above at some of the things that would require a visit to the chiropractor let's discuss:
  • What are some things that would indicate that your attitude needs adjustment?
  • What are some of the ills that you have experienced as a result?
  • What would be some things that would be required to adjust it?
  • What are some things that must be avoided the re-occurrence?
  • What are some things that are necessary to maintain a good attitude?
Remember that your attitude like your body requires attention. Don't stay broken.  If left untreated will leave permanent scars, pain and unnecessary stresses.  Get an adjustment and maintain balance today!

Romans 12: 2 (KJV)
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable and perfect will of God.

BITTERNESS AND UNFORGIVENESS

GIVE UP YOUR RIGHT

Life is unfair, people will continue to hurt and offend us and external circumstances will challenge our very living, but... we must chose not to be offended.  It will require us many times to give up our right to be right.
What Would Jesus Do?
This should be a question we ask before we react or respond to anything.

Don't Defile Yourself?

Hebrews 12:14-15(KJV)                                                                                                        Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

Learn to Forgive
If you don't it will breed in the waters of bitterness.  It is the root that springs forth into large overgrown trees that causes many damages.

TODAY'S FOCUS:  THE COST OF UNFORGIVENESS

As you reflect on this topic answer the following:
  • What valuable thing have you lost as a result of unforgiveness?
  • What physical issues have you experienced as a result of bitterness?
  • What Struggles are you experiencing with Bitterness/Unforgiveness?
  • What scripts have you written or rehearse that's holding you in unforgiveness?
How difficult it is for you to apply the following scripture:
Which ones would come easy and which would you struggle with and why?
Romans 12:14-2(KJV)
14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
  • What Grudge do you bear?
  • What Offense do you carry?

Here are some steps from Having a Mary Spirit by Joanna Weaver

  • Make the Choice - Chose to forgive is an act of the will.  Make the decision to release and forgive those who have hurt you whether they deserve it or not. Remember God also has forgiven you.  Ephesians 4: 32
  • Find a Faithful Friend - Someone who will not side and tell you only what you want to hear or nurse your offense but points you to Jesus and forgive others his way.  Matthew 18: 15-17
  • Bless, Don't Curse - Practice the art of blessing others.  It is part of your calling.  Do not repay evil for evil or tit for tat. Your willingness to dos so will allow you to inherit your blessing.   1 Peter 3: 9
  • Keep No Records of Wrongs - Do not be an account -ant.  Don't tally up numbers After you have forgiven others wipe the slate clean.  Even when the thought try to come back and it appears that things have not changed you must make the choice not just to forgive and forget, but chose not to remember.  Hebrews 8: 12
  • Bring It All to God - Don't be mad at God.  Admit your anger, resentment, bitterness and unforgiveness.  "Hand God your diary of wrongs done to you." Pour out all of your heart.  He already knows.  So in actuality what you are doing is freeing yourself.  He is your refuge.  Psalm 62:8
Today, I ask that you search your mind, heart and spirit and bring all bitterness and unforgiveness to God in prayer, write down or confess every person, every thing and every matter, bring it out and delete it with the word.  Like a computer it's not just good enough to but it in the trash, but get rid of it so it is not in the recycle bin for easy reach.

Remember, "Jesus is willing to pick up anything you are willing to lay down."
CHOOSE NOT TO BE OFFENDED and....
MAKE IT A PRIORITY TODAY TO ROOT OUT BITTERNESS!

God bless you and KEEP THE FAITH!

WORRY AND THE ANTIDOTE

WORRY

Are you dwelling on your troubles, uneasy about things, or are you in an anxiety mode always? Then you are qualified and can be identified as a worrier.

Let's look at the definition -
  1. give way to anxiety or unease; allow one's mind to dwell on difficulty or troubles.
  2. a state of anxiety and uncertainty over actual or potential problems
These you probably are well aware of and can identify with when you experience the effects of worry.

Everywhere you look you see the results of worry - from the common cold, negative behaviors, trust and self esteem issues to the many ills and diseases that are plaguing many.

TODAY'S FOCUS: THE ANTIDOTE

Whether or not we want to belief it - WORRYING IS SIN!

Let's look at worry from another meaning and angle:
  1. (of a dog or other carnivorous animal) tear at, gnaw on, or drag around with the teeth.
"I found my dog contentedly worrying a bone"

As you reflect and ponder on this meaning ask God to reveal if you do not already know....
  • What are you chewing on?
    • Are you eating away what is said about you, told to you or is wrong about you?
  • What are you dragging around?
    • Hurts, past baggage, future concerns, dreams/desires or unfulfilled purpose?
WORRY DOES NOTHING ABOUT IT!
Matthew 6:27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

By definition the word antidote is described as:
noun
  1. 1.
a medicine taken or given to counteract a particular poison.
verb

1.
counteract or cancel with an antidote.

To be free from worry you must take a medicine that can counteract the poison of worry.

WORRY MUST BE CANCELLED WITH AN ANTIDOTE -

THE ANTIDOTE FOR WORRY = PRAYER AND FAITH!

Today, take some time and find scriptures to ease your worry.  Instead of giving your time to worry do some confessions of faith and think on these things.  (Philippians 4: 8).
If they don't line up - DON'T THINK ABOUT THEM!

Remember, when you doubt God or His word it is a sin.   Know also that....
Worry is a DIS-EASE that is a result from the sin of unbelief?  GET THE ANTIDOTE TODAY!
