THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD I SHALL NOT WANT

Prayer: Finances, debt cancellation, employment and other personal needs (transportation, housing etc...)

TODAY'S FOCUS: GOD'S BLESSINGS

Proverbs 10:22 King James Version (KJV)
22 The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

Reflecting on this scripture let's discuss:
(Please see how you can incorporate verse 1 of Psalm 23 in your answers)

  • What do you think of the phrase, "I'm blessed and highly favored?"
  • Why are Christians so unhappy with the blessings they claim to have such as a car, home etc.. and are also heavily overwhelmed by debt anxiety and other negative fears?
  • How does the blessing of the Lord make one rich?

God Bless as we share inspire and dialogue.

KEEP THE FAITH!

  1. Pastor Julie,

    1. Let share my thoughts on the phrase, "I'm blessed and highly favored."
I think it is saying each of us have to believe first that we are blessed and highly favored for we to actually be blessed and highly favored of the Lord. It is a personal thing when we say we are blessed and highly favored. We need to declare and decree God's Blessings on our lives daily by speaking his blessings in our lives such by saying "I am blessed and highly favored." "I am blessed and highly favored." "I am blessed and highly favored." with a little, or a lot in certain cases, of belief sprinkled in their and we can testify to the blessings and favor that will outpour into our lives by truly doing this. Halleluyah! Thank you Jesus.

    2. Why are Christians so unhappy with the blessings they claim to have such as a car, home etc.. and are also heavily overwhelmed by debt anxiety and other negative fears? Christians are so unhappy because of two things. First, because of a lack of gratitude for what they have or currently have. We need to give thanks for the small things we have and see the blessings in them. Secondly, because the feel the should have what there neighbor have or what somebody else have that the think is better than what they have. That covetuous spirit, we need to send that back from whence it came. And if we cast all our cares on Jesus, we will fear nothing and want for nothing in our lives.

    3. Final question is how does the blessing of the Lord make one rich? It makes us rich in the physical sense that God is our provider, and in the spiritual sense he still is our provider. We need to store up the riches in Heaven because those are the riches that last forever and ever. Amen

  2. Psalms 23:1

The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want.
The Lord is all in all to me, he is all powerful, humani-ponent, kings of kings, Lord of Lord and he is the Almighty God. My Shepherd is the one who takes care of me he is the one who leads me into all things in my life, he will take me to the highest mountain and he will protect and guide me, for he is the one I must follow wheresoever he leadeth me I will follow him.
I shall not want, I will not want of anything because I choose to follow the Lord. All of my wants and my needs are in the Lord, he will provide because he cares for me.

    Best,
