THE GENERATION OF THE UPRIGHT

DELIGHT IN SERVING GOD

Are you risking, your blessings or perhaps the future of your children by your neglect to serve God dutifully or keep His commandments?

There is a generational blessing for those for fear the Lord.
Psalm 112:1-4 (KJV)
Praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

If this is the case, praying for your children is vital and should be done on a consistent basis even when they have grown and have left the nest.

TODAY'S FOCUS:  SCRIPTURAL BLESSINGS

Everyone will agree that praying for your children does not stop when they grow up, but they are needed more fervently.

Children face all types of challenges when they go out on their own, and because you are no longer there physically they may be challenged in certain areas.  They may be also too ashamed to ask for your help.

Despite the training and disciplines you have given from time to time if they are not matured in the word or given themselves over to the will of God, they will be in need of divine intervention.

It must be a matter of prayer.  But...
How do you pray?
Do you pray the problem or the solution?
Do you pray in anger or blame?
Do you pray in fear and anxiety of the outcome?
Do you pray a negative result of the situation?
As you think on these ask the Lord to help you identify if you have prayed some of the results that are evident.

You should bless your children daily and with the word.  Praying the specific scriptures should be one of the ways you can keep your children blessings flowing.  Let's look at the following:

If you are concerned about their ability to abide in the word and their success or prosperity pray this scripture (insert their names throughout the verse.)
Joshua 1:8 (KJV)
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
In Jesus name, Amen and Amen!

Remember, God is calling you to fear Him and to be upright so your seed and generation will be mighty and blessed.  Don't stop praying when they are out on their own, but be more diligent and fervent with your prayers. If you are not living according to His will and purpose ask Him to restore you in Him.  If you have neglected to cover your children begin using scriptures to bless them in the every area of their need.  If you do you will be blessed with all blessings.  God's righteousness endures for a lifetime.

God Bless and Keep the faith!
