WALKING WITH THE LORD
You are protected when you walk with The Lord and allow Him to order your steps daily.
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.
Even though your faith may be challenged by the difficulties of life reflecting on this scripture will always encourage you when you know that steps are ordered by The Lord.
- Your way will be delightful
- When you fall you will not be utterly cast down
- The Lord Himself upholds you with His hand
TODAY'S TOPIC: COMMIT YOUR DAY TO THE LORD
Proverbs 16:3 (KJV)
Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.
Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.
- What are your plans?
- Are they in line with God's word and will?
Here are some suggestions to help you from my daily devotion (At the Feet of Jesus by Joanna Weaver)...
- Invite Jesus to rule and reign
- Each morning when you get up turn over your plans to The Lord and present your day to Him
- Ask God to reveal the next step
- As you go through the day ask the Lord to help you and what you should do next. Take each task step by step and flow as He reveals it to you.
- Have faith that what needs to get done will get done
- Since you have committed your day to Him trust Him that whatever is to be done will be done and any unfinished task will be done in His time.
- Be Open to the leading of the Holy Spirit
- Embrace interruptions to your plans as "Divine Appointments". Instead of being overwhelmed and anxious flow with what God is doing, and surrender your agenda to His leading.
Remember, God knows best. Don't let the big picture overwhelm you or discourage you. Release yourself in total trust that your steps are being ordered, and that he delights in every step you take. Ask Him to give you the wisdom and insight as you make your plans that they will be in accordance with His will, You will then enjoy the freedom of total surrender as you commit your day and walk with Him daily.
God Bless and Keep the Faith!
