TRADE FOR THE BETTER

TRADING YOUR SORROW

The lyrics to the song, I'm Trading My Sorrows, bring harmony and peace to the troubled, burdened and hurting:

I'm trading my sorrows
I'm trading my shame
I'm laying them down
For the joy of the Lord
I'm trading my sickness
I'm trading my pain
I'm laying them down
For the joy of the Lord
We say yes Lord yes Lord yes yes Lord
Yes Lord yes Lord yes yes Lord
Yes Lord yes Lord yes yes Lord- Amen

I am pressed but not crushed
Persecuted not abandoned
Struck down but not destroyed
I am blessed beyond the curse
For His promise will endure
That His joy's gonna be my strength

Though the sorrow may last for the night
His joy comes with the morning

We say yes Lord yes Lord yes yes Lord
We say yes Lord yes Lord yes yes Lord
We say yes Lord yes Lord yes yes Lord- Amen

The scripture concurs that God's anger lasts for a moment, but His favor lasts for life - joys comes in the morning after a long night of weeping.

Psalm 30:5 (KJV)
For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

His Joy is your strength. So you can trade up your sorrows for the joy of the Lord and say, "Yes Lord, Yes Lord, Yes Yes Lord!

TODAY'S FOCUS:  THE JOY OF THE LORD IS YOUR STRENGTH

As you review the lyrics look at the trade- It's all for the better.
Sorrows, shame, sickness and pain traded, all for the joy of the Lord.

The trade of your sorrows for joy brings you strength
Though you are..
Pressed, you are not crushed
Persecuted, you are not abandoned
Struck down, but not destroyed

The trade also brings blessings:
You are blessed beyond the curse, and His promise will endure
You can go your way eat and drink and give to others for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

Nehemiah 8:10 (KJV)
Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

Today seek the help of the Lord and trade for the better.
Trade up your mourning - He gives dancing feet
Trade up your sackcloth - He girds with gladness
Psalm 30: 10-11 (KJV)
Hear, O Lord, and have mercy upon me: Lord, be thou my helper.
Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

Remember, Don't be afraid to release your sorrows, shame, sickness, pain, mourning and sackcloth for the joy of the Lord.  He will give you a greater trade.

God Bless you and Keep the Faith!
