HOW TO REVIVE DEAD THINGS
As the Widow's Fast concludes we are commanded to revive dead things.
1 Kings 17: 21-23 (KJV)
And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto the Lord, and said, O Lord my God, I pray thee, let this child's soul come into him again.
And the Lord heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived.
And Elijah took the child, and brought him down out of the chamber into the house, and delivered him unto his mother: and Elijah said, See, thy son liveth.

Like the widow woman you can call a thing back to life using the 5 steps below:
Pray About It
Seek God's will and cry out to Him in prayer using the scriptures and reminding Him of what He says for you circumstances or for someone else. If you are weak and unable to do so for yourself seek out a God fearing man or woman to pray with or over you.
Revive It
After you have prayed, revive it and bring it back to life by removing the things that stifle it, restore it, stimulate it and allow it to gain back it's strength. Drink water and or seek spiritual help from people of strong faith and a prayerful lifestyle. Stay in connection with them until you have gain strength to stay on your own. Have someone to cover you in prayer.
Bring it Down
Don't leave the thing where you carried it or stay in the same position of complacency or remain in the place that reminds you of the past condition. Remove yourself from negativity and or influences that may hurt or bring harm to you. Escape from the coldness of death and areas that cause you to experience famine, drought, thirst and hunger- physically or spiritually. Go to the place where life flows. Bring yourself back to the place where God wants to meet with you. Go take a worship to His house. Meet with Him in the secret place- Bring it down!
Deliver It
Give it back to God or to its rightful owner. Maybe it's forgiving someone, or asking for forgiveness. Maybe it's going back home to your family or perhaps returning a favor that you promised. It could be that you ran away from purpose or a God given assignment, vision or dream. Deliver on your promise.
Let it Live
Find ways to keep it alive. Constantly and consistently performing the other steps. Nourishing it and giving it the right dosage. If it's physical you would exercise, eat healthy, follow your doctor's orders, take supplements/medication, get adequate rest and sleep and do whatever is necessary to allow you to not die but live to declare the glory of God. If it's spiritual you would keep yourself active in prayer, fasting, meditating and reading of the word, do worship and fellowship with other believers by attending church services. You would also stay active and do something meaningful and or humanitarian.
TODAY'S FOCUS: STRETCH YOURSELF
As you reflect on the scripture and discussion above you will see how Elijah responded to the widow's cry for help for her dead son. He took the child from where he laid and brought him to his own room and laid him on his bed and stretched himself upon him praying and calling out to God on the behalf of the widow and her son.
As you reflect, is there someone you know that needs to be brought back to life?
Is there a situation that needs to be revived?
How can you stretch yourself to respond to the cry of someone today?
Perhaps you have an extra room that you can open the doors to someone who needs a shelter, stop by and lend a helping hand to a friend who is overwhelmed, take time out from your busy schedule and say a prayer or drop by the hospital and or visit the sick.....
Go ahead stretch yourself in whatever way you can and make a dead thing come to life today.
Remember, to revive a dead thing you must realize that it is dead. Pray for and about it. Make a conscious effort to stretch yourself to help revive it, and do whatever it takes to remove it from its dead or dry place. Help restore and deliver it to its original state or owner. Keep the focus, and concentrate on the things that will cause it to live. Be vigilant and avoid the things that can cause it to die again. Stretch yourself a little above your limits and as you bless and revive another watch out for God's favor and blessings.
God Bless you and Keep the Faith!
