UNFULFILLED APPETITE

HUNGRY FOR MORE!

Ecclesiastes 6:7KJV
All the labor of man is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled.

STARVING?  FAMISHED?  PARCHED?  THIRSTY?  HOLLOW?  CRAVING FOR MORE?  ACHING?  PINNING?  EAGER?  FAINT?  EMPTY?  RAVENOUS? LONGING?  YEARNING?

After reading the scripture downloaded today from the throne room,  can you identify with the words above about your life?

TODAY'S FOCUS:  DO THESE WORDS DESCRIBE YOUR APPETITE?
Does that describe you?  OUCH!!  Building on your life story - Let's think about....

  • You've worked hard to acquire the degree and status you pursued in life
  • Worked hard and bought the home, car etc.. of your dreams
  • Married the man or woman that you felt was God's ideal
  • Have the best paying job you can get
  • Have good children and family life
  • Can meet your monthly obligations
  • In fairly good health
  • Financial future is promising
BUT....  YOU STILL DESIRE MORE?

LET'S REVISIT THE SCRIPTURE AGAIN -
"All the labor of man is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled"

There is so much reality in this!  As we acquire the things our flesh desire, though we get to the goals that we set (as in the list above), we continue to labor, we continue to achieve and our dreams continue to expand but...
The things that we work for in this physical life leaves our soul "HUNGRY FOR MORE!"

We have heard many stories of the man/woman who have a great job, good spouse and family and all the comforts of life, BUT... are unhappy, engaged in extra marital affairs, commit suicide or other crimes, are lustful, covetous, greedy, intimidated, have low self esteem and many other unfulfilled longings and desires, BUT...  STILL HAVE A BOTTOMLESS PIT HUNGER?

It is obvious that the things we work hard for are really to bring and give comfort to our flesh, BUT they DO NOT FULFILL the inner core of our being because...

WE WERE BORN TO SERVE AND WORSHIP GOD!

WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE REASONING OF THIS SCRIPTURE?

CAN WE BE HONEST TODAY? LET'S SHARE AND KEEP IT REAL!

Remember NO ONE CAN FILL YOUR GOD HOLE BUT GOD!   WOW? WOW!
While you think about that just know that...

THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR GOD! - HALLELUJAH!

GOD BLESS - KEEP THE FAITH!

  1. Wow what an awesome to start one day, pondering on these word. This is so true sometimes God allows us to have all of this and still we're unhappy wanting more. However, the bottom line is God put him first and you will have an filled appetite. Words of wisdom....lis

  4. This message is personalized to me today. Although I wrote it I see myself in its mirror. I think of my life as a well lived life to some extent. I've had the opportunity to be in corporate world and have had the ability to take care of me. I look around with the exception of the bills that go with it at my home and investment property and say, you've done well. I look at my fine looking and Godly man of God and say, Girl you got it. I look at my children and compared to many others say that I am highly favored among women. I look at the ministry that God have birth in me and say, God You are Faithful and I am thankful. I look at my other accomplishments and the things I possess like clothes shoes and other necessities and say that I am blessed.

BUT... CAN I KEEP IT REAL? I will say it anyway!
There are days, the house, the children, yes THE HUSBAND OR CHURCH which I cherish and love CANNOT SATISFY THE HOLE AND HOLLOWNESS I feel within.
There are days, I cannot tell you why, because I had no argument, nothing hurt, I have no urgent need but I AM empty, unhappy and HUNGRY FOR MORE! Not more stuff, (for of things I've had my fill, but yet I hunger still) Not for my husband, the pastor, not a friend, not a church sister or brother but something more than my mind can imagine. I know it's my "GOD HOLE" crying out and hungry for God's righteousness.
I can truly relate to the author of the song, All my life long I have panted for a drought from some cool spring, that I hope would quench the burning of the thirst I felt within.
Then I go to my secret place and curl up in living room intimacy with my Daddy God and then I sing....
HALLELUJAH I HAVE FOUND HIM WHOM MY SOUL SO LONG HAVE CRAVED, JESUS SATISFIES MY LONGING.... (oh so good) yes, HE DOES....
NOTHING I DESIRE COMPARES TO YOU!!
EMPTY AND BARE LORD HEAR MY CRY FOR MORE OF YOU!

DO I HAVE A WITNESS? AM I ALONE IN THIS. Even if I am I will still say...
I WAS BORN TO SERVE THE LORD! I WAS BORN TO WORSHIP....
    So....
TO WORSHIP YOU I LIVE, TO WORSHIP YOU I LIVE I LIVE TO WORSHIP YOU..
OH OH OH OH - OH OH OH OOOOOOH! HALLELUJAH!
