SALVATION AND RIGHTEOUSNESS

CLOTHING AND GARMENTS

Salvation and righteousness are both clothing that are required for the saved.  One cannot go without the other.  When you have received salvation, you must live righteously, and the righteous have salvation.

Salvation and righteousness will cause you to rejoice greatly, and be joyfully in God for it is He who dresses you with salvation and covers you with righteousness.

It is described as the dressing of a bridegroom and the adorning of a bride.
Isaiah 61:10 (KJV)
I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
Dress in His righteousness, wear your garments and robes happily!

TODAY'S FOCUS: THE BRIDEGROOM AND BRIDE

The scripture above gives you an analogy of dressing up in a suit of salvation and an outfit of righteousness as a bridegroom and a bride.

Let's imagine how a bridegroom and a bride stand on their wedding day:
  • A Bridegroom in his Tuxedo
  • Bride with her Jeweled Tiara
Whats spectacular things you see?
What beauty you behold?
What does the analogy show you about salvation and righteousness?

God wants to dress you up in the same beauty and purity that you imagined.  If you would allow Him too, He will clothe you fully in His righteousness and then wrap you with a robe of righteousness.

This analogy speaks highly of how God wants you to be clothed and covered.  A bridegroom and a bride on their wedding day are happy and well clad.  So likewise you too must be happily clothed and decked in salvation and righteousness.  Know that salvation and righteousness are required of you, but they are not yours nor can you achieve them on your own.  Submit to His adorning and decking.

Remember, let the Lord clothe and cover you.  When you are dressed up in a suit of salvation and outfitted in a robe of righteousness, you will explode in praise from the depth of your soul.  Sing for joy in the Lord as you display your garments

God must be in charge and in the forefront of your plans to avoid failure and disaster. You must also ensure that your plan is in accordance with scripture and within the will of God for you.

TODAY'S FOCUS:  ALIGN YOUR PLANS WITH GOD

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.  Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV)'

How well do you know God's Plan?
You will have peace when your plan lines up with God's.  They will not be plans to hurt you or cause harm to you and or others.  They will line up with your gifts, calling or assignment. There will be no doubts or struggle to do it in your own strength.

Is your plan aligned with His?
Your plan must be guided by scripture and acceptable to God. Your plan cannot be outside of biblical standards and principles. It will not lack integrity or cause the name of the Lord to be blasphemed.  You will be structured and organized for God is a God of order.

How can you know His plan?
You must spend quality time with God.  Consistently be in His presence.  Give an attentive ear to listen and hear His voice. You will be obedient to His word, and follow instructions and directions given.

In aligning your plans to God's plan, you will understand that it takes time and due diligence.  You will also know that planning is a process which requires faith, patience, knowledge, wisdom and understanding.

When planning take note and be reminded of the following:
  • There is a time and season for everything - Ecclesiastes 3:1
  • Sit down and plan wisely - Luke 12:48
  • The counsel of God stands - Proverbs 19:21
  • Cease from your own wisdom - Proverbs 23:4
  • God's ways and thoughts are not like yours - Isaiah 55:8
  • The Lord will reveal His plan to His servants - Amos 3:7
God is an excellent planner and worker. Look what he did at creation which includes you.  It is best to plan the year with Him. He can be trusted to finish what He begins in you- because of His finish work through the death of His son Jesus working in you.
His plan is wonderful and His wisdom is magnificent- Isaiah 28:29

Remember, to have success for 2017, let your thoughts and plans lineup with God's. He is the Master Planner for as the heavens are higher than the earth so are His ways higher than yours.  He is an experienced God full of wisdom, and is the Alpha and Omega.  His plan is to bring you to an expected end so trust Him, and put Him on your daily schedule in order for your plan to succeed.  Know that there is a process and a time for everything.  Chose to live and plan right.  Make time to sit in His presence, hear His voice and follow the written plan of the word!

God Bless you and Keep the Faith!
