If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

TODAY'S PRAYER FOCUS: VIOLENCE AND CRIMES

Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.

He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Pray that all the people of our land for the 2016 School Year will walk in the Spirit and not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Pray that all will be lead by and through the Spirit so the lust of the flesh will not be made manifest ( Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like...) and cause our lands to be terrorize by crimes and violence. Prayer against the spirit of murder that is prevalent and command the angels of God to take charge, and the Spirit of God to rule in the hearts of the sons and daughters of men. Pray that the spirit of lying will be destroyed, and truth will be spoken by every man. Pray that justice and judgement will prevail in our judicial system and that the rulers and people of the law will uphold the law and walk in integrity and righteousness. Pray that all will rule their spirit and have the fruit of temperance. Pray that all unsolved crimes will be solved, and that perpetrators will be brought into judgement. Pray that Peter will not pay for Paul, and no one will or wrongfully accused. Pray that all will obey the commandment of the Lord, the laws of the land and love their neighbors as themselves. Pray that all those who are in authority and in law enforcement will not be blind or silent, but take an active part in cleaning up the land from guns and other ammunition. Pray that parents, teachers and the community will influence and teach positive and alternative ways to defuse disagreements to include prayer. Pray that the victims and their families/;friends will leave vengeance to the Lord and to the executors of the Law and not retaliate or take matters into their own hands. Pray that all gangs, clangs, cults and violent groups will be dissolved and destroyed and that no weapons formed will be able to harm or hurt anyone for this 2016 School Year in Jesus name.

DIE TO LIVE

THE DEAD ARE FREE

How can a dead man be free?  When a person dies in the natural, he is free from labor, pain, stress and other struggles because he no longer has to face them.  

So in the spiritual, individuals who are dead to themselves and give up their selves to the will of God are free from sin.

Romans 6: 7-8

For he that is dead is freed from sin.
Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

Remember if "you" are dead, you cannot sin.

The old man, our very nature of sin, dies so we can live.  This death allows us to live again in the spirit.  We look the same, have the same name, but our lifestyle, choices, conversation and spirit takes on a different manner to represent the new life. 

TODAY'S FOCUS:  NEWNESS OF LIFE - ROMANS 6  

There must be a burial of the dead.  Therefore, when you die a burial must take place. That burial is through baptism which is a type like death.  The process of our new life comes like Christ's. He was buried and resurrected to the glory of the Father.

Verse 4: Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

If our burial is similar to that of Christ, even so our resurrection to new life will be as His. The body of sin is destroyed only through death and resurrection. The resurrection confirms that the first you (old/natural man) is dead.

The new you should not serve sin - Verse 5-6

For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

You must also now understand that when you are resurrected it is not to serve your desires and lust but to serve God. This new life gives you an opportunity to start over and let Christ live in you. You should not allow or use any part of your body to sin, but your total you should be yielded as an instrument of righteousness unto God. If you do, sin will no longer rule or have its power over you.

Newness of life yield fruits of righteousness. 

Let's discuss:

What does the fruit of sin and unrighteousness yield?

What does the fruit of righteousness yield?

Avoid the pitfalls that await those who do not die. Don't do things that will cause you to be ashamed, because at the end of the day you will die eternal death. Die now so you can live now, and as Christ was raised to live eternally, you too will.

Remember, you are not longer the servant of sin. Die so you can live. You are the servant of whom you obey and the result will be evident. Sin brings death, and obedience yields righteousness. Walk in newness of life. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is newness of life- everlasting life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Today's Prayer Focus: Pastors, Ministers and all Clergy, Men and Women of Faith, Law Officers, Therapists, Psychologists and other Advisers/Groups

As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

Pray that all Pastors, Ministers, clergymen and men and women of faith will seek the face of the Lord, humble themselves and pray for the school system, individuals and all functions. Pray that they will be men and women of prayer and that they will use all spiritual means including fasting to bring healing, wholeness, deliverance and fruitfulness to this 2016 School Year. Pray that they will be faithful warriors and watchmen on the wall and they will seek to bring restoration to PUTTING PRAYERS BACK IN THE SCHOOL. Pray that they will be diligent in service and avail themselves for prayer, ministering to the needs of the entire body. Pray that they will be sober and mindful of the spiritual attacks and be alert to the tricks and tactics of the enemy. Pray hat they will not be cowards and retreat when faced by opposition to righteousness but will rightly divide the word of truth. Pray that Law Officers will be sound and not entangled with craftiness, deceit and be a part of the problem but bring solutions and resolutions. Pray that they will be tough but yet loving, gentle and merciful. Pray that they will not buffet or be buffeted through acts of wickedness and or violence, but they will speak and approve themselves as good soldiers performing and acting in the right under all applicable laws. Pray that they will not be anxious or afraid by the behaviors and acts of adversities, but they will be bold and courageous using wisdom and fair justice practices to protect their lives and the lives of all involved. Pray for all therapists, psychologists, advisers study to shew themselves approved, speaking truth and guiding all in accordance with godly virtues/values and not through other mediums or sources. Pray that they will seek help and wisdom from God and that their eyes and ears will be open to good and not evil. Pray that they will be sensitive and attentive, and that they all will perform not for lucrative measures or other advantages but for the help and development of the children and those whom they serve- All to the glory and honor of God in Jesus Name-AMEN!

Today's Prayer Focus: School Bus drivers, Transportation Workers, School Crossing Guards

SCRIPTURE:  2 Thessalonians 3:3-4 (KJV)

But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.

Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.

Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

Pray that all school bus drivers and transportation workers, anyone transporting students to and from school will use right judgement and be keen when driving- observing and adhering to all signs and rules. Pray that they will not speed to cause harm to the students or other drivers. Pray that all motorist will observe the law to stop when the bus stops and there will be no accidents, tragedies or fatalities. Pray that all vehicles will be operable and that the operators will adhere to all warnings to prevent any incidents. Pray that the school crossing guards be strong and attentive. Pray that they will not stumble but will be able to handle the heat, cold and the extenuating circumstances of their given assignments. Pray for their faith and patience with disrespectful/disobedient individuals. Pray for protection against evil and that angels will direct, lead and protect throughout the school year. Pray that they all will think of safety first and not wits or rights but use expertise and govern by peace and good spiritual/moral ethics. Pray that they will not use cell phones or other forms of distraction while driving. Pray that they will not be intoxicated, they are skillful and strategical (when the road is wet, weather is bad or use alternative route/ detours when necessary...) Pray that they will not be abusive, but they will be respectful, kind and speak in an appropriate and polite manner. Pray that they will not use partiality or discriminate. Pray that they will not use jargons or obscenities. Pray that they operate and conduct themselves well and will not be weary in performing their assignment and duties in Jesus name - Amen!

As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Pray that Monitors, Custodial Workers, Lunchroom Staff, Security officers and all other laborers embrace and accept their jobs as an assignment to serve,. Pray that whether they serve in word or deed, they would serve and perform in excellence as unto the Lord. They would be respectful, obedient and not operate or do anything in the flesh. Pray that they will not be slothful, revengeful or seek to please men, but honorable, lovable, not complaining, humble and always happy to serve. Pray that they will go beyond self and consider the needs and serve with singleness of heart. Pray that they will cultivate good habits and disciplines, they will look out for the good of the students. Pray that they will be protective watchmen, and have a keen sense and alertness to any form of dangers. Pray that they will be dutiful, steadfast and consistent. Pray that they will follow the rules and guidelines as they administer and follow protocol in Jesus name!

Scripture: Read and meditate on Proverbs 1:1-7

Colossians 3:12-15 (KJV)

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

Pray that the teachers, aids and other department faculty will have wisdom and understanding of the curriculum to be able to teach, instruct, impart and develop our children. Pray that they will understand their assignment to teach with excellence, pride and joy. Pray that they will instruct according to the strength of the children, having patience, extending mercy, gentleness, longsuffering and love. Pray that they will be alert to identify challenges and administer or refer needs base appropriately. Pray for harmony among themselves, and that they will work peacefully and have the fear of God in Jesus name.

WEEK 1 - PRAYER FOR SCHOOL SYSTEM & FACILITIES

TODAY'S FOCUS:  EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES

Pray that all equipment will be operable and functioning. Pray that there will be adequate supplies. Pray that curriculum will be taught and administered right at every grade level. Pray for schedules and teachers/staff are available to teach. Pray that resources will be sufficient and allotted accordingly. Pray that all extra activities will be explored and balanced in Jesus name!

And the greater house he cieled with fir tree, which he overlaid with fine gold, and set thereon palm trees and chains.
And he garnished the house with precious stones for beauty: and the gold was gold of Parvaim.

2016 SCHOOL YEAR DANIEL PRAYER - DAY 4

WEEK 1 - PRAYER FOR SCHOOL SYSTEM & FACILITIES 

Three times a day will we pray as Daniel did before our God. Read Daniel 6

Prayer time: 6AM - 12 Noon - 6PM
(Everyone prays individually at selective times)

TODAY'S FOCUS:  SCHOOL BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS 

Pray that maintenance and  all repairs will be made for a comfortable and safe environment. Pray for functioning and adequate lighting, water, and all other necessities of the facilities. Prayer against vandalism, theft, destruction and mischief. Pray for safety, security and protection of the grounds.  Pray against bullying, drugs and other acts of violence will not occur on the school grounds. Pray that God will release His spirit of peace and uproot, evict and destroy any spirits and offensive/illegal squatters that have been inhabiting the schools and plead the blood of Jesus over every school  facility, grounds and system. We come against the spirit of death and darkness and spirits of witchcraft and every other spirits that holds the system/facilities in bondage and command the fire of God to consume every other power and spirit but the Spirit of the living God- and release the anointing that destroys every yoke in the name of Jesus!!

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

ABSTRACT FAITH

FAITH MUST BE DEMONSTRATED

Faith cannot be abstract in thoughts without tangible and expressive demonstration. There are many instances in the bible that states that faith must be demonstrated by works.  

Abstract faith comes when you see a need but hoping others will fill it.  It's a good idea but only in theory and never comes to fruition.  It's the ideal thing to do, but it never materializes into anything with a physical evidence or presence.  

One of these areas is the need to take care of the homeless, needy or poor.  

You may see them daily and think it's a good idea to feed and clothe them and wish them off the streets.  But everyone just wish that and think that and not show acts of kindness it would be abstract faith.  Faith with no action, physical demonstration or involvement.  

Scripture supports the need to move from abstract faith to fulfill the need of the poor whether they are homeless or in need.  

James 2:14-18 (KJV)

What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,

And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

While there are many reasons why a person maybe homeless or mentally and physically unable to take care of themselves, we must be moved by compassion and love to assist- through personal involvement or community outreach events.

TWIGS Ministry community even this past Sunday was a rewarding experience as this scripture was truly experienced.

Happy is the generous man, the one who feeds the poor.

Truly our hearts were moved as we went from individual to individual- even the children shared their emotions and thankfulness.  

Here are a few pictures of the event.  

When you hath pity upon the poor and extend your kindness, you lend to the Lord and the Lord will repay all that you have given.  Proverbs 19:17- You must extend that even to your enemies.  Anyone in need deserves compassion.  Let love be the motive of your serving and giving.  Let the Holy Spirit lead you and guide you into the areas of serving and need within your community.  Love as Christ loves and extends himself for all.  

Remember, your faith must not be abstract but in demonstration of love and power. Bidding well and praying sometimes is not enough, but taking action to serve a need is faith in action.  Follow the principles of Christ in all area and extend to others who are less fortunate even those who may considered to be your enemies.  The Lord repays all them that do good!

FLAVORLESS SALT

SALT-LESS SALT

Salt has many benefits and can be used for various things...

food, health and beauty, household cleaning, planting and farming and several other useful properties. If things that need salt are not salted, it can have a bland and unpleasant taste.

In the same way God has called you to be the salt of the earth. You are called to add spice and flavor to the world that is so tasteless and gloomy. Think about how you

can be salt to the world. Here's what the scripture says.....

Matthew 5:13 (KJV)

Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

Have you lost the saltiness of your salt? Perhaps you are entangled in the cares and business of life. Your passion for the things of God and desires to fulfill spiritual purposes have been diminished by your natural ambitions. Let's discuss:

How do people lose their saltiness?

What are some of the evidence that the flavor of salt has diminished or gone?

What are the effects and consequences as a result of a lack of savor-less salt?

When salt has lost it's savor it is not able to add flavor to anything. It becomes worthless and thrown out. It will become asphalt instead of salt. So like wise if you have lost your savor you will not be useful and cast out with severe consequences. But all is not lost you can regain your flavor.

TODAY'S FOCUS: RESTORE YOUR SALTINESS

To be salt you must be salty. The scripture above states that unsalted salt will be thrown out. However, you can restore your saltiness by renewing your commitment and passion. The world needs you and depends on you to be salt. Therefore it is important to maintain your savor to perform and deliver the nutrients for growth and development.

Salt is a necessary condiment and is used by everyone and is vital for life. However, once lost it must be regain and restored. Restoring your saltiness comes from a spirit of acknowledging that you are salt-less. It also comes from a place of understanding the purpose and use of your salt so you can add flavor and season the things that are unpalatable and dull.

The church today and many individuals today have lost their saltiness. It is evident that the savor is gone out by the many things that are happening in our personal lives and the world around us. It is time to restore the flavor- Let's discuss how to restore our saltiness:

Get right with God

Live Holy and upright

Have a consistent pray life

Forgive willingly and quickly

Love generously

Let's not become salt with no flavor- Salt purifies, preserves, enhances and adds flavor. Salt also is the base for many products, and has many medicinal uses and properties.

In the natural salt is necessary for sea creatures to survive. Just as they need salt in their water, so does the world needs Christians to have their saltiness to impact the world around them. Salt is the only thing that can salt. That necessary ingredient is needed to bring back life and hope to the wounded and restore the joy of serving God.

Remember, you are called to be the salt of the earth. Salt is a necessary ingredient to bring life and rejuvenate. If you do not maintain your saltiness, you will be worthless and thrown out as asphalt to be walked upon. God is calling on you to be the vein that brings life to the world. Don't lose your saltiness but add flavor to the broken, the lost and those who are blind. Avoid entangling and dangling in the things that takes away your savor. So let us flavor the community and world we live in. Let's be the example that the world needs- so men will know that we are indeed the salt of the earth.
